Nerdworks ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Negative Chess Free mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Our App uses third-party services that may collect information to identify you:
- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data including app interactions, app performance, and device identifiers (Firebase Installation ID). Used to understand how users interact with the App and to improve performance.
- Firebase Authentication: Creates an anonymous user ID to support online multiplayer features. No personal information is required.
- Firebase Cloud Firestore: Stores online game state (match data) using your anonymous user ID.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: May use a device token to send app-related notifications.
- Google Play Games Services (optional): If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, your player name and player ID may be used within the App to display your identity on leaderboards and achievements. This sign-in is entirely optional.
- Google Play Billing: Processes in-app purchases. Purchase history may be accessed to verify purchased items. Payment information is handled entirely by Google Play and is not collected by us.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (online multiplayer, achievements, leaderboards)
- To verify in-app purchases
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the App
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Data collected by Firebase and Google services is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Data Security
All data transmitted by the App is encrypted in transit using secure connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Data Deletion
Anonymous Firebase data is automatically deleted after periods of inactivity per Firebase's data retention policies. For Google Play Games data, you can manage your data through Google's account settings.
